What is facebook creative hub?

Facebook Creative Hub is an application by Facebook that can be used to create ad mockups and import them into Facebook Ad Manager so that you can launch them within an ad campaign.

What is facebook ad manager?

Facebook Ad Manager is a program by Facebook that allows you to launch ads across all different Facebook platforms. Ad Manager will track the traffic and success of your ads as well as use algorithms to display your ads to a target audience. Simply put, It’s a very powerful social media marketing tool.

My experience with these facebook marketing tools.

For a recent project I worked on, I had to create a marketing campaign for a large engineering company called SBSA. For this campaign I had to create ads geared towards recruiting young engineers to work for SBSA. I spent a lot of time learning how the ad manager works and I created 4 mockups through creative hub. As of 12-28-2019 the ads have been approved by SBSA and over the next few days I will be getting a budget approved and launching the ads. They are set to run through January 2020.

How to create ad mockups.

Creating ad mockups within Facebook Creative Hub is a very simple process. There’s a few different ad types to choose from. The most simple are Single image/video ads, while on the flip side the most complex are 360 videos and Instant experience ads. For the purpose of this post I recorded a video that you can watch below that shows an explanation on how to create a simple mockup.

In this video I explain how to create a simple single

image ad similar to a mockup I used for my project.

How to create ad campaigns through Ad manager.

First you will need to import your ad mockups that you made in creative hub. you can find instructions on how to do that HERE.

Once your ads are imported and saved, head over to Campaigns and look for the Create button

This will bring up a choice between 2 kinds of campaigns, if you want to keep it simple I recommend using Quick Creation.

Once you’ve selected that, enter a Campaign name, choose your Campaign objective, and if youre running multiple ads I recommend turning on Campaign budget optimization.

From here select the ad(s) you want to run by typing in the Ad set name or Ad name.

Next select Save as draft which will bring you to the launch screen. Here you can choose what kind of campaign this is in the Special Ad Category section. For me I selected Employment ad when preparing to launch the SBSA ad campaign.

From here select your country, currency, and time zone. The time zone is important because that will be used within Facebooks ad algorithm so that it knows where and when to run the ads.

Finally add your payment info and launch!

conclusion

Facebook offers many amazing tools to help you build your business. Their ad manager is so simple that anyone can use it to advertise anything. As I learn more about tracking your campaign’s progress I will be creating a full tutorial on the entire process.
