About Me

My life is the perfect mix between chaotic and calm. My name is Braden Schmidt and I’m an 18 year old high school graduate living in the beautiful state of Colorado. I currently hold two jobs, I am a guest services trainer as SmashBurger, and as of 9/13/19 I am also a salesman at Vector Marketing. However that only scratches the surface of what I’m doing in my life right now. I am also a participant in a program called Praxis. A program that takes young adults and trains them in marketing, entrepreneurial skills, and business success. There are many exciting things I have to look forward to in my future. So let me dive in and give you a little more detail in regards to who I am, and what I do.

I spent most of my life home-schooled, my parents wanted to give me a different type of education than I would get in our public school systems. One that was more based on real work experience and life skills. However once I reached high school my parents decided I needed a credible way to keep track of my class credits while still having that different learning experience. At the start of freshman year I was enrolled in a charter school as a part time student. This allowed me to take all of my core classes and have them tracked in the school system. As well as work at home half the time to get my real world experience style of education. This also allowed me to do some dual credit programs to help myself earn college credits before graduation. I graduated from The Summit Academy in April of 2019 with a 3.9 GPA and as a proud member of the National Honors Society.

After graduation I was stuck between going to college or trying to get a job for the experience. In the end I decided that I didn’t want to rack up student loan debt and spend four years of my life for a piece of paper I didn't even know if I was going to use. In my desperate search for other options, I found Praxis, and after a little research I decided that this program was definitely the right choice. I am currently working through their training modules right now, and will continue to do so until march of 2020 where I will be placed with a startup company for an internship. Where I hope to shine and prove myself to be an important asset to the company and hopefully build a future for myself.

While all the details of my education and plans for my future are interesting. There is certainly more to who I am than just work and school. I am also a music producer and creator. Since I was young, music was always a very important part of my life. There weren;t ever any circumstances in life that couldn't be improved for me by hearing the right song. When I was 15 I found an old guitar in our attic and cleaned it up, I then started taking lessons so I could learn how to make my own music. However, after a year or two I decided that I wanted to be able to make full songs. I linked up with a friend of mine who made music and he gave me advice on everything I needed to do to get started creating my own songs. This was back in April of 2019, I started learning music production. I put a little bit of money into making a small studio setup in my basement. SInce then I have not only learned how to produce, but how to record, mix, and master songs. I continue to make music every day and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. It is truly my passion and one of the most important things in the world to me.

Hopefully this has helped give you a general idea of who I am. Go ahead and check out the rest of my website. I have a blog where you can read through some thoughts or stories of mine. As well as a projects page were you can see social and professional projects I’ve been a part of, as well as check out some tracks I produced early in my music experience.
